How it works
Stacked discounts apply one after another, each on the price already reduced by the ones before it — not added together. A 20% discount followed by a 10% discount leaves 0.8 × 0.9 = 72% of the original price, an effective 28% off, not 30%.
Each discount is applied in order: price = original × (1 − d₁/100) × (1 − d₂/100) × (1 − d₃/100). Leave a discount at 0% to skip it — this calculator works for one, two, or three discounts stacked together.
FAQ
Why isn't a 20% discount plus a 10% discount just 30% off?
Because the second discount is calculated on the already-discounted price, not the original one. The second 10% is smaller in absolute terms than it would be on the full price, so the two discounts together add up to slightly less than their sum — 28% here, not 30%.
Does the order of the discounts matter?
No — multiplication is commutative, so applying 20% then 10% gives the exact same final price as applying 10% then 20%. Only the count and size of the discounts matter, not the order.
